Delhi: New Year's Eve has always been a time to unwind and celebrate the year. The new year was seen as a fresh start after two years of epidemics and suffering. Coronavirus survived on the Omicron variant, which is disturbingly virulent but less deadly. COVID-19 is expected to dampen New Year's celebrations worldwide.
As health care systems improve, governments recommend celebrating with close family and friends. As more cities limit or decrease New Year's Eve gatherings, travel and mask restrictions are returning.
